Healthy Kids Day® is the Y’s national initiative to improve the health and well-being of kids and families. For over 30 years, YMCAs and their communities hosted free community events aimed to inspire kids and families to keep their minds and bodies active throughout the summer months and beyond.
This year, Healthy Kids Day® is sponsored nationally by Peanuts, with some featured themed activities including Snoopy’s Scavenger Hunt, Charlie Brown’s Fitness Challenge, Lucy’s Creativity Corner, and Franklin’s Splash Bash! We’ll be featuring vendors from our local community, games, activities for the kids and more!
Open House Event
We also encourage those new to the YMCA to take a tour of our facility and learn what a YMCA membership can offer!
NEW MEMBERS that sign up on Saturday, April 26th will receive a discount PLUS the $25 association fee will be waived!
EXISITING MEMBERS that bring a friend to join will receive a 20% discount on their existing membership fees. Referred members will also receive a 20% discount on their monthly or annual membership rate.

Healthy Kids Day Activities
Snoopy's Scavenger Hunt
Visitors will be given a bingo card to visit different vendors or locations around the Y. Complete your scavenger hunt and receive a prize!
Charlie Brown's Fitness Challenge
Head over to Edwards Gym to complete the Peanuts inspired obstacle course!
Lucy's Coloring Corner
Kids can enjoy coloring their very own Peanuts characters coloring pages
Franklin's Splash Bash
Learn about water safety, swim lessons, and the Y's Chambersburg Chargers swim team!
Linus Mindful Moment
Kids can craft their very own Snoopy to take home!
