POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Sr. Aquatic Director the Assistant Aquatic Director is responsible for assisting in planning, organizing, directing, budgeting, and evaluating aquatic programs in accordance with the YMCA's mission and policies. Essential Responsibilities:

Before and After School Fun Club
- Manages, directs and coordinates the school age child care programs for assigned locations.
- Ensures that YMCA program standards are met and safety procedures followed.

- Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules and directs personnel and volunteers as needed.
- Reviews and evaluates staff performance.

Summer Fun Club
- Under the direction of the SYD, support the preparation and planning of Summer Fun Club.

SAM’s Programming
- Actively recruits qualified youth for membership into the YMCA’s Sam's program.
- Organizes and oversees program activities and events.
- Recruits and coordinates volunteers from the local community.
- Actively involved with annual fund raising efforts and grant proposals.
- In cooperation with the YMCA's Social Responsibility Committee, establishes the activities schedule for the YMCA's Tuesday Night Sam's Program. This includes:
- Recruitment and registration of qualified youth.
- Recruits and trains volunteers and paid staff for the Tuesday Night Sam's Program.
- Maintains current job descriptions for the Tuesday Night Sam's program staff.
- Coordinates and personally implements the Tuesday Night Sam's activities October through April each year.
- Coordinate and confirm YMCA transportation for Tuesday night program.
- Organizes and coordinates the annual Sam’s Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas parties for the Sam’s Tuesday Night participants.
- Secures facilities for program activities and events.
- In cooperation with the YMCA's Social Responsibility Committee, coordinates and directs the Sam's Summer Day Camp. This includes:
- Recruitment and registration of campers.
- Staffing, training and scheduling the camp counselors for Sam's Camp.

- Develops written promotional information for the Sam's Camp.
- Creates and schedules all camp sessions and activities.
- Coordinate and confirm YMCA transportation to and from camp as well as field trips.

Rock Steady Boxing is a health and wellness program designed for people with Parkinson’s, a neurological condition affecting balance, strength, walking, and especially confidence. It’s based on non-contact boxing, which has proven very effective in improving all the symptoms people experience with this disease. The Parkinson’s Foundation has been recognized Rock Steady Boxing as one of three Accredited Exercise Education programs. Rock Steady Boxing Coach responsibilities:
- Comply with the Rock Steady Boxings Affiliates established guidelines.
- Design classes that incorporate the current “Plan of the Week”, the space and equipment available and the individual levels of each boxer.
- Determine the limitations and abilities of each boxer by evaluating both their Parkinson symptoms and their overall health and fitness status.

The Y is hiring part-time staff for its Before & After School program for the 2023 - 2024 school year. The staff supervises youth, as well as helps with homework, organizes gym games and plans activities for K-5 children. Site Directors develop, manage, supervise, and direct the operations of a School Age Child Care location.
