Education and Leadership
Our leadership and academic enrichment programs help millions of children and teens build skills and confidence, ensuring that every child has an opportunity to pursue their best possible future.
The ARK is a full-day early learning center focusing on the education, socialization, skill development, and spiritual development of every child. Classes follow a theme-based curriculum modeled after the CASD Kindergarten Readiness Program and in accordance with PA Common Core Standards
The program is designed to offer developmentally appropriate learning experiences for children ages 3 to 5. Children will follow a theme-based curriculum intertwining our Scholastic My Big World curriculum and the CASD Kindergarten Readiness Program.
The goal for the Achievers Program is to prepare youth for life beyond high school. Our program focuses on all aspects of post-secondary life. From equipping students to feel more confident for job interviews, to providing college tour opportunities, students are fostering the life skills needed to succeed in life after high school.
In addition to full privilege memberships, each Tuesday evening from October through April, children in 1st -7th grade are transported by YMCA buses to the YMCA for physical activities, fellowship, mentoring and Christian education. At the conclusion of the evening’s activities these children are then transported back to their neighborhoods.
Our Counselor in Training (CIT) program offers leadership training and job readiness all in one fun summer package! CITs spend the summer working with kids, learning from camp counselors, and attending leadership training.
